The battery saver system cuts off things when the battery is low. Short trips (under 1/2 hr) won't keep it charged up in winter's cold. Have battery tested, if it tests fine then you either need to drive more or buy a battery tender. I used to drive my 2013 infrequently, and got this message in the winter.
B. If no key fob is available you can disconnect the battery again, turn the ignition key to the on position and reconnect the battery. This usually doesn't allow the alarm to set and allows the car to start. C. Remove the aftermarket alarm system. This is usually the long term fix i recommend if the fob isn't available.
July 9, 2018. #1. Hello. I just bought a 2011 ford explorer limited about 4 months ago. I started noticing my touchscreen will say system off to save battery. The airbag light will then come on. And the heat will turn on and there is no way to turn it off. I just put in a new battery due to the positive post turning inside the old battery.
